Searching for a Rebrand

HELPING THOMSON BECOME TUI WITH AN EXPERIENTIAL SITE
The Brief
The holiday company Thomson were in the process of becoming TUI, they required a new .com site to create search equity for them under the TUI name. Not only that but they also saw this as an opportunity to completely overhaul their UI & UX, making the experience of searching through their different locations and sub companies much more intuitive and immersive.
The Response
I worked closely with my team as well as TUI's own internal design and UX team to create a new type of site for them. Rather than the usual homepage full of sub content this one asked two simple questions, what are you looking for? and where would you like to go? From here the user is led to a number immersive articles featuring beautiful drone footage, local info, weather and more. This more long-form editorial style of content vastly increased their SEO rankings by country answering their brief perfectly.
